Family Reunion

My 10 yr old grand-daughter said, "I feel safe here". That may be the only review needed! The staff exceeded our expectations. The property was meticulously maintained. Our room was a bit small (typical for the era it was built), but clean and a lovely view. The dining experiences we had were wonderful - especially Chianti. We felt like we were at a 5-star resort. Rustic elegance might be a good description of the main building - just beautiful with several huge fireplaces and seating areas to relax with a drink and friends. The resort is spread out with so much to do - activities galore! Wonderful place for a family reunion or just a romantic get-away.

We had a sorority reunion and started out on Mackinac Island. We had a package, and our suitcases were taken to our hotel. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from town, but it’s an easy walk! The lobby was definitely original and gorgeous! The front desk was very friendly and efficient! I would stay here again. It was kind of off the beaten path so it was quiet, but very walkable to town!
