Enjoyed a relaxing outdoor luncheon. The food and service was excellent. The entrees were delicious and so well prepared. We had the seared salmon, house burger, lamb gyros, and herb crusted Lake Superior white fish. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Do check this place out if you are visiting Mackinac island.Farah A.
This was our first time to visit Mackinac Island. We chose Mission Point because of its location just outside of town, and the many positive reviews we read online. We were not disappointed! The grounds are beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the food and the views from both the Bistro on the Greens and the Round Island Kitchen. The lawn was a lovely place to lounge in the evenings. During our stay, we rented bikes from the hotel, and spent 2 days exploring the island - on bike and by foot. But the unexpected highlight of our stay at Mission Point was the early morning birdwatching experience with Scott. We liked it so much that we signed up for a second round. All together, we saw 48 species of birds, including 8 species of warblers - mostly on the hotel grounds! We highly recommend both Mission Point and the birdwatching experience to anyone staying on Mackinac Island!Carrie O.,Google Review
We could not be happier that we chose this venue. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout ever step of the process. They worked with us to reschedule due to the pandemic and were kind and understanding throughout that very difficult process. They made it very easy to plan from out of town and helped us bring everything together. Our Conference Services Manager was there to help out with anything little thing we needed on the weekend of our wedding, which was so amazing and took so much stress out of the day! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful the food was. I would highly recommend Mission Point for a Mackinac wedding, especially if you are planning from out of town!Rebecca B.
The entire staff that we were in contact with are top notch 5 star service. Food is tasty, fresh ingredients and reasonably priced; hostess delightful and waitress was outstanding. Room was spacious inviting and clean. The morning room staff were friendly and cheerful. The grounds manicured and very well maintained. The bellmen were attentive and courteous. Front desk Drew was very welcoming helpful and engaging making sure we knew of all the amenities the resort had to offer.Lynda M., Google Review
We had an excellent time during our stay at Mission Point Resort. The staff was courteous and helpful, the staff at the restaurants were also friendly and thoughtful. The resort was very good about following CDC guidelines for safety. We felt safe and that everything was spic and span and we did not have to worry about our safety in contracting Covid. We were most thankful and impressed that they upgraded us to a King Lakeview room!Sheryl S, TripAdvisor
Mission Point is in a great location convenient to the nightlife and downtown. Mackinac goes at a slower pace and Mission Point echoes that with wonderful food and excellent staff. A great place for a meeting.Peter H, TripAdvisor
The entire Mission Point team was incredibly helpful, caring, upbeat, supportive and seemed to genuinely care that we chose their resort to celebrate our wedding. Not a thing went wrong, but if something had, we are confident the Mission Point team would have figured it out and made it right. Our guests were just as impressed and we are already looking forward to our next trip to the island and visit to Mission Point. You can’t go wrong booking a trip or event here!!Daniel P.
We have visited Mackinac Island for years and most of those stays have been at Mission Point Resort since they allow dogs. It never disappoints. Due to Covid, we rarely went into town this trip but we felt safe at Mission PointInspire724349, TripAdvisor
Pretty sure my wife and I have experienced all of the nicer dining on the island, and Chianti wins best experience, food, and all other categories. The service is exceptional.Google Review
Great place to escape the downtown area plus great food, service and wonderful view!Cameron, OpenTable Review
I love staying at Mission Point. I'm on the island annually for a few days with my daughter and this where we usually stay. The rooms are great, the pool is refreshing, the food at Bistro on the Greens is great, and I personally like being a bit removed from downtown. Highly recommend it!JJ M.,Google Review
The breathtaking views and welcoming staff made us feel truly celebrated as a couple. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to start our lives together.Brendon
We had a sorority reunion and started out on Mackinac Island. We had a package, and our suitcases were taken to our hotel. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from town, but it’s an easy walk! The lobby was definitely original and gorgeous! The front desk was very friendly and efficient! I would stay here again. It was kind of off the beaten path so it was quiet, but very walkable to town!RhondaP13
The grounds at Mission Point are right on the lake and are gorgeous!! The restaurants are wonderful!! This resort is very accommodating to dogs and children. There is a heated pool, hot tubs, tennis, and yard games. A truly marvelous stay!!Nancy S.
I cannot recommend planning a wedding with Mission Point more. They were extremely attentive and accommodating especially since we were planning in a middle of a pandemic. They kept me up to date with the ever changing government restrictions. We had the best day celebrating with 110 of our closest family and friends. Mission Point is beautiful, we had our rehearsal dinner on the Promenade Deck and our reception in the Cyprus Room. I wish we could do it again, they really made us feel like family.Catherine C.
This was the first time I had been to Mackinac since I was a child and my husband's first time ever. We had a great stay at Mission Point Resort! The staff was wonderful and helpful with any questions. Bike rental was on site and very convenient. My husband used the fitness center and was happy with it. The location is great- close to downtown and you can hop on the road to bike around the island right in front of the hotel. We brought our dog and she got a little welcome bag with some goodies! It was easy to walk her around the property and the restaurants on the resort property are mostly dog friendly (with the exception of one). We even rented a burley to pull her around the island in, which was a lot of fun! We only ate at one restaurant (Round Island Kitchen) for breakfast and it was really good. Our only gripe was that we were looking for more vegetarian options. Our room was a suite and it was clean and the beds were comfortable. We will be back!Stephanie B.,Google Review
Mission Point made the experience of staying on the island seamless. The staff is incredible. Everyone is a pleasure to talk to, knowledgeable, and they go the extra mile to make your stay special. Some standouts I can remember were Tyler at Chianti, Paige at the lobby bar, and Clever at the Round Island restaurant. Would recommend this place. The grounds are amazing.Cody Z.,Google Review
We came for a couples getaway weekend and enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. We took the carriage a few times but enjoyed walking to downtown better. We did rent bikes from the resort and rode around the island. Staff is absolutely fantastic! Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We ate at Chianti our first night and enjoyed meeting Nikol who greeted us each evening while we would be walking around the resort. Krystal was a gem today during our turtle ornament decorating. We enjoyed chatting while painting and just relaxing. We relaxed this evening in the pool/hot tub before our dinner. Cannot say enough about the staff, service, accommodations, and overall entire resort! We will be back!Jen S.
I ordered the Michigan Cherry Chicken salad and I ate all of it - it was so tasty. There was live music and the singer was very talented. The atmosphere was friendly, cozy and comfortable. The restaurant was kid friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re on Mackinac Island.Angela B., Google Review
For over a decade, our “Mackinac Island” tour stayed overnight in nearby St. Ignace, MI. Just a few years ago, we included an overnight stay on the island at Mission Point Resort, hoping our travelers would be receptive to it and enjoy the convenience. What was already a popular tour took off, doubling from five departures in 2018 to TEN scheduled in 2023. Time and time again our returning travelers note the warm hospitality and the beautiful, intimate location. From the first-class accommodations to the second-to-none customer service, we couldn’t be happier to have a partner on Mackinac Island like Mission Point.John Spellerberg, Vice President of Moostach Joe Tours
We had our wedding there yesterday. Everything was amazing the food the flow and the people. We checked into the hotel and it was an amazing experience. Everyone was so willing to help. We stayed there two nights and the day of the wedding Kasandra made our room look so special with two swans on the bed and rose petals we loved every moment of it. The team at Mission point know what they are doing. I will be recommending Mission point to everyone I know who will be visiting the island. Thank you to everyone who made our day so special and magical.Brendon L.,Google Review
I stay at Mission Point largely because both my dog and I can have an equally great time. I love the location because it is close enough to downtown with all the shopping and fun without being in the middle of all the crowds; he because his favorite beach is a short walk away right outside the resort room doors. We both like being able to sit outside and enjoy the lakeview while having breakfast or dinner, and yes your dog can join you for both. Also every time we have stayed the staff has been exceptional. This trip in particular was made extra special by a staff member we met named Carla. My dog took an instant liking to her, and my vacation was made all the brighter by the conversations we got to share. Will definitely visit again!Mark B.,Google Review
Everything was perfect - the food, the accommodations, the meeting room - everything!Sue L., Michigan Chapter of the International Interior Design Association
We went here 2 nights to hear live music. Excellent musician! Good place to view the water and enjoy the evening.TripAdvisor Review
Six of us decided to celebrate the end of the summer season with a trip to Chianti. It was a Prix Fixe menu and every course was wonderful, as was the service.TripAdvisor Review
Coming here is like coming home again. Stayed here every year for the past 21 years. Clean, friendly, beautiful views. Pet-friendly is a plus and I like that it’s not in the middle of town but a 5-minute walk from there.Zita G, TripAdvisor

Wonderful property with old school charm. We will definitely be back and recommend to others. Round Island Kitchen was our go to place at the Resort and loved the food and service. They treated us so well even with our two pet kids in tow.Rebecca B.,Google Review
We held a corporate retreat and it could not have gone any better. The entire staff was amazing, the food and service were phenomenal, and the resort was the perfect blend of old and new elegance. I highly recommend Mission Point for both personal and business use.Nicole M., 4Front Credit Union
My 10 yr old grand-daughter said, "I feel safe here". That may be the only review needed! The staff exceeded our expectations. The property was meticulously maintained. Our room was a bit small (typical for the era it was built), but clean and a lovely view. The dining experiences we had were wonderful - especially Chianti. We felt like we were at a 5-star resort. Rustic elegance might be a good description of the main building - just beautiful with several huge fireplaces and seating areas to relax with a drink and friends. The resort is spread out with so much to do - activities galore! Wonderful place for a family reunion or just a romantic get-away.klaulds
Please, never change your pet policy. I know it is a big commitment on your part, but you provide an amazing experience for people with pets, and it is so rare what you provide! So many places force pet owners to compromise quality and comfort to travel with a pet. You provide a resort experience with the quality decor, finishes, and ambiance while still allowing us to travel with our dog. Please know how rare that is, and keep the policy, knowing how grateful your guests are!Alicia P.
I truly cannot recommend Mission Point enough! We had a small wedding here and every part of our stay was incredible. It was seriously the best wedding food I've ever had. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is so kind and efficient, and we always felt well cared for. Mission Point really knows how to run a hotel and incredible venue overall. You will not regret staying or dining here!Kim M.
Had the BEST 3 egg white frittata with peppers, tomatoes and spinach and it was superb. Loved being able to dine outside and having a full carafe of wonderful coffee brought to our table. Kids of course eat free when staying at the hotel so it is very convenient as well as yummy.Sue S., TripAdvisor Review
It was our 10 year Wedding Anniversary (we had our reception at Mission Point) and we can not say enough about all of the staff members. Every single person we dealt with was genuinely friendly and helpful. Pat and Nick stole the show however the hostess Erica also went above and beyond with her kindness towards our 4 year old daughter. We can’t recommend the resort enough!Dangie B., Google Review
I love working with the Mission Point staff – you are all so friendly and efficient – thank you, thank you! Makes my planning efforts less stressful.Jolee H., Upper Peninsula Association of Independent Insurance Agents
Mission Point was a GREAT place to stay! We loved that they had everything - breakfast, lunch & dinner, coffee shops, a bar, bike rentals, a lawn to sit and relax, a pool with a nice sitting area and the gym! The room & bathroom were very clean and neat(this is extremely important to me, and they were very well kept.) The staff was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!!Kathryn W.,Google Review
The staff is super friendly. The menu seemed to be typical bistro fare - upscale hamburgers, hot sandwiches, salads, fries, etc. but it was perfect for lunch. When the food showed up less than 10 minutes later, it was hot, fresh and beautifully plated. I was amazed.TripAdvisor Review
We are guests of Mission Point and love that our grandson eats free and we were able to dine outside. The panko whitefish and basmati rice as well as the salmon with tabouli were superb - what you might expect at a 5 star restaurant. Service was impeccable. Definitely a great place to eat.TripAdvisor Review
